This project is a redesign of Franz Kafka’s symbolically rich novella, Metamorphosis. The story explores the existential crisis of Gregor Samsa, a man who wakes up one morning to find himself transformed into a giant insect. As Gregor confronts both his physical metamorphosis and emotional isolation, Kafka explores powerful themes of alienation, identity, and the fragility of the human condition. With this cover redesign, I aimed to visually reflect the surreal nature of the narrative and convey the haunting, claustrophobic atmosphere surrounding Gregor’s internal and external suffering.
