This conceptual app was developed in my Information Design course as a final project to address common pain points students face with campus parking, from locating available spaces to navigating payment. I first researched a significant issue affecting college students and explored how it could be alleviated through the creation of a conceptual app. Through this research, I found that the majority of university students in the United States struggle significantly with campus parking, so I identified the various pain points mentioned above and implemented both new and existing features to address them.
Designed in Figma, the app experience prioritizes clarity and convenience, with features such as real-time space availability, campus-specific parking lot filtering, visual spot timers, and more to create an intuitive user flow. Throughout the project, I gained experience in the UX/UI design process through both digital research and interactive user testing, during which classmates tested the app and provided feedback on its usability and functionality. For this project, I led the design, editing, and development process, conducted UX research, built wireframes, and created a fully interactive prototype in Figma with ADA accessibility standards in mind.
